Mysuru: A surveyor from K.R. Nagar taluk has been caught in the net of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting bribe from a land owner.
The surveyor, identified as V.M. Balaramu, 32, was caught by ACB Police while accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from one Nagaraju of Kaggere village in K.R. Nagar taluk for measuring his agricultural land and to prepare documents for it. The ACB Police have seized the bribe amount.
It is reported that Nagaraju had filed an application to get his agricultural land measured and for its documents, but Surveyor Balaramu had sought a bribe of Rs. 5,000 to do the work following which, Nagaraju had filed a written complaint with the ACB Mysuru unit. Following which the ACB caught Balaramu while he was accepting the bribe and have registered a case against the Surveyor under Section 7 of Anti-Corruption Act 1988.
