Suspected dengue fever claims two lives in Mysuru, Ch’nagar

Mysuru: Two kids have died of suspected dengue fever in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar.

Jaishnavi (7), daughter of Prakash, a resident of Gayatripuram 2nd Stage in Mysuru, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here for suspected dengue fever since three days, passed away at the hospital after failing to respond to the treatment.

It is accused that due to unhygienic conditions prevailing in the area, the girl may have developed fever from mosquito bites.

In Chamarajanagar, S. Vishwas (7), son of Swamy and Sakamma couple, residents of Doddarayapete near Chamarajanagar, who was studying in second standard at St. Joseph’s School and undergoing treatment for suspect Dengue fever, died at a private hospital in Mysuru.

Vishwas, who developed fever, was first admitted to a hospital in Chamarajanagar. As the fever did not subside, he was admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru, where he passed away after failing to respond to the treatment.
