Mysuru: In a suspected murder case, a woman died in Hootagalli in the taluk and her relatives have accused her husband of murdering her.
The deceased woman has been identified as Pallavi (28), wife of Mahadevaprasad, a BMTC conductor.
Mahadevaprasad, who had allegedly assaulted Pallavi on Saturday night, had admitted her to Brindavan Hospital in Jayalakshmipuram, where she passed away on Sunday morning after failing to respond to the treatment. Meanwhile, tension prevailed in front of the hospital with the relatives of Pallavi accusing Mahadevaprasad of murdering Pallavi. Jayalakshmipuram Police, who arrived at the spot, diffused the situation.
Later, Pallavi’s father Manjunath lodged a written complaint at Vijayanagar Police Station, accusing Mahadevaprasad of murdering his daughter. Based on the complaint, Vijayanagar Police are investigating.
Mahadevaprasad, son of Eerappaji and Shobha, residents of Yelwal, had married Pallavi, daughter of Manjunath and Prema of Doddayachenahalli village in K.R. Pet taluk about seven years ago.
