Mysuru: Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji of Suttur Srikshethra, who could not attend the Anniversary celebrations of Star of Mysore (SOM) last evening due to prior engagement, has sent the following message greeting SOM and the same was read out at the function.
Dear Sri Ganapathy,
At the outset, we congratulate you on the eve of 40th anniversary celebrations of Star of Mysore. We felt immensely happy that the event is celebrated with well-deserved grandeur in the presence of Hon’ble Sri Ananth Kumar, Union Minister, Sri TJS George, Editorial Advisor, The New Indian Express and Sri Devdutt Pattanaik, Indian Mythologist and Author.
‘Star of Mysore’ has become an inseparable part of evening tea with almost all Mysureans. Commend your team for Journalistic Excellence and the unfailing dedication to the interests of the nation. The news stories and features of the Daily have always been a reliable source of information and continue to be thought-provoking, challenging and inspirational. The newspaper has proven itself to be indispensable to Mysureans not only in Mysuru but also elsewhere.
We hope that this memorable day and the emotions that accompany this occasion will provide you with additional encouragement and enthusiasm to continue your superior work for our people into the future. May God add many more years of journalistic endeavour to the team ‘Star of Mysore.’ May the 40th anniversary be a huge success.
Though we very much wanted to be a part of the seminal celebrations, due to pre-scheduled commitments we would not be able to make it.
With Best Wishes,
Yours in the Service of God
Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji
