Mysuru/Mysore: With Swachh Survekshan Survey to adjudge the cleanest city in the country having begun from Jan.4 and to go on till Jan.31, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) in association with Red Cross Society had organised an awareness programme in that context at Town Hall here this morning.
About 250 students of various colleges and representatives of various organisations participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, MCC Additional Commissioner K.N. Shashikumar opined that the citizens’ participation and a good positive feedback were essential for the city to regain the cleanest city tag again. He said that the field survey has begun and the Swachhta App could be downloaded to cellphones to upload the feedback by citizens. He disclosed that 1,500 marks was needed through the feedback to get the top spot. MCC Health Officer Dr. Jayanth briefed on the usage of the App. Red Cross Society members Gurumurthy, Mahadev, Environment Engineer S. Maithri and others were present.
