‘Swachha Mysuru – Swastha Jeevana’

 ‘Swachha Mysuru – Swastha Jeevana’ programme, which was launched by Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama for 40 weeks to bring public awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection, was held recently in seven different locations of Gokulam.

S.A. Ramadas, former Minister, inaugurated the campaign. Swami Atmajnanandaji, President, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, D. Madegowda, former MLC and Girish Prasad, Corporator, participated in the awareness drive.

About 230 committed volunteers and 50 local residents participated in the cleaning campaign. A brochure on ‘Swachha Mysuru – Swastha Jeevana’ was distributed to hundreds of houses in the locality. A team of 50 local volunteers was formed to supervise the cleanliness of the locality.
