Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Ajjana Mane Kalaa Prapancha,’ an organisation involved in promotion of art, culture and traditional practices among children, is organising classical music programmes at the heritage house of Mysore Vasudevacharya on New Sayyaji Rao Road, near Basaveshvara Circle in the city, during the next two Sundays — July 14 and 21.
The programmes titled “Kishora Gayana Namana” are dedicated to the memory of the renowned composer. On these days, classical vocal music concerts will be presented by talented young artistes in the age group of 12 to 18 years, who participated in the State-level Music Competition conducted by the organisation in December last year. The schedule of concerts is as below:
July 14: Sughosh, Anjana Matham (both from Mysuru) and Pranav Adiga (Udupi) will present the concert accompanied by Vid. H. Srivatsa on violin and Atri Koushik on mridanga.
July 21: Ahika Nagadeep (Bengaluru), Aashweeja Udupa (Mangaluru) and Sharanya Bhat (Mysuru) will perform with Mahathi on violin and Sumukha on mridanga.
On both the days, the concerts will begin at 9.30 am and each concert is planned to last about 45 minutes. The programmes are open to all and the music enthusiasts are requested to attend and encourage the budding artistes, says a press release from the organisers.
