Mysore/Mysuru: Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, South Western Railway (SWR), accompanied by Principal Heads of Department and Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru Division, inspected the Central Workshop in Ashokapuram recently as part of annual inspection.
He inspected the newly developed Mechatronics Lab at WBTI (Workshop Basic Training Institute) and appreciated the efforts made by the team of Supervisors and staff in developing various gadgets which will help in rectifying faulty items during various schedule attention of LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches.
He distributed the medals and certificates to the staff who were awarded at Zonal level as part of Annual Railway Week.
He also inspected the progress in conversion work of old ICF coaches to NMGHS (New Modified Goods vans with High-Speed) and expressed his satisfaction in the quality levels maintained by the workshops.
He interacted with staff, supervisors and contractual labour and heard to their issues/grievances and assured all possible assistance to them.
U. Subba Rao, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, SWR, Rahul Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, SWR, Mysuru Division, O.P. Shaw, Chief Workshop Manager, Central Workshop and senior officers of SWR were present.
