Mysuru: The pillars of Mysuru City Railway Station building were painted with artistic pictures to beautify the ambiance under the theme ‘Shramdhan’ “Let’s colour and beautify Mysuru Railway Station” on Nov.25 and 26 on a weekend holiday.
A.K. Gupta, General Manager, South Western Railway (SWR), Dr. Atul Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, SWR Mysuru Division, Dr.S.G.Yathish, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and other Officers participated along with Railway Staff, students of Lalitha School in Yadavagiri, Scouts & Guides and passengers who volunteered in painting the pillars.
The theme was organised in coordination with Ugly Indians, a Bengaluru-based NGO.
A.K. Gupta also inspected the newly-commissioned 1.7 km stretch at Srirangapatna and the Railway Electrification work between Yeliyur – Mysuru (39 kms) on Nov.25 along with Rajeev Kumar, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, South Western Railway (SWR), according to a press release.
