Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Division of South Western Railway (SWR) conducted the 32nd Permanent Negotiation Machinery (PNM) Meeting on Feb. 25 and 26 at the Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) Office in city.
DRM Rahul Agarwal chaired the opening session. The representatives of South Western Railway Mazdoor Union (SWRMU), Mysuru Division, participated in the conciliation.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Agarwal briefed various pro-labour measures initiated by Mysuru Division and other achievements in the current financial year. He said the Division has appointed 310 employees through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) and on compassionate ground. A total of 1,109 employees had also been promoted or granted financial upgradation, he added.
Human Resource Management System (HRMS) has been implemented in the Division and it caters to issue office order, issue of E-Pass and Privilege Ticket Order (PTO) for Employees, employees can apply for Provident Fund online and Annual Performance Appraisal Reports can be uploaded and viewed, Agarwal described.
A Pension Adalat was conducted on Dec. 15, 2020 and representations of 43 pensioners or family pensioners were settled and a Grievance Adalat was also conducted from Feb. 10 to 15, 2021, across the division, he informed. Agarwal thanked the organised labour for extending co-operation and wanted this healthy relation to continue for overall improvement of Railways.
Shiva Prakash, Divisional General Secretary of SWRMU, briefed the contemporary labour issues at the divisional level.
A. Devasahayam, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General), B. Srinivasulu, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infra & Operations) chaired the two-day meeting on behalf of the Railway Administration, Prashanth Mastiholi, Sr.Divisional Personnel Officer, and all the Branch Officers were also present.
