Mysuru: Mysore Amity Round Table-156 along with Mysore Amity Ladies Circle-108 had organised ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ an exclusive painting event for differently-abled children recently. Area Chairman Tr. Mayur Shah was the chief guest for the event. Tablers from Holland and France also graced the occasion along with Tablers from MART-156 and MALC-108.
Speaking about the initiative, Tr. Anirudh Ranga, Chairman, Mysore Amity Round Table-156 said, “We conducted this painting competition for special kids to display their talent and potential within every single kid participating in it, and gave a moment of joy to everyone associated with it. ”
Instituted with a mission to spread the message that “Every child is a star and let’s see them twinkle with colour and joy,” Round Table India and Ladies Circle India have been executing this initiative across 70 cities and towns covering 5,000 differently-abled kids. In Mysuru alone, around 140 students from Puttaveeramma School, Kuvempunagar; Deaf and Dumb School, Bannimantap; Sai Ranga Vidya Samsthe, Bannimantap and Mercy Convent, JP Nagar, took part in the event. The winners under various categories are as follows:
1st prize- G.H. Nagaraj (Mercy School – Primary section), M. Raju (Mercy School – Middle School), M. Goutham (Sai Ranga School – High School); 2nd prize- Anitha (Mercy School – Primary), Ravi Teja (Mercy School – Middle School), A.N. Yuvaraj (Sai Ranga School – High School); 3rd prize – Chaithanya (Mercy School – Primary), D.R. Adarsh (Mercy School – Middle School), U. Monisha (Puttaveeramma School – High School).
Apart from the above prizes there were two prizes for every school given as Merit of Recognition: Abhishek – 9th std, Bharath Kumar – 7th std, Priyadarshini – 8th std, Priyanka – 9th std, K.T. Pramod – 7th std, Sanjay – 6th Std, M.S. Rakesh – 5th std and Kruthi – 3rd std.
