Mysuru: A complaint has been lodged with Lokayukta against Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and two IAS Officers for transferring an official on deputation to a higher post when he is tainted, facing four criminal cases and three corruption charges.
K.R. Ravindra, a social activist from Mandya, has lodged the complaint with documents against Siddharamaiah, V. Ponnuraj, Principal Secretary, Department of Urban Development and R. Vishal, Director, Department of Municipal Administration.
The allegation is that C. Puttaswamy, an officer of Bannur Municipality, with aforesaid dubious distinctions, has been transferred on deputation to Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Zonal Office as Assistant Commissioner on April 25.
Puttaswamy is said to be on anticipatory bail as he was implicated in a suicide case of an entrepreneur in Mandya, involved in a caste abuse case and an assault case and charge-sheets have been filed against him in the Court. He is also facing corruption charges which are registered with Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), claimed Ravindra who has challenged the posting of Puttaswamy as Assistant Commissioner despite his criminal background.
