Taking oath to keep Covid away

Mysore/Mysuru: In the wake of rise in Covid-19 cases, Taluk Health Officer Dr. Mahadev Prasad advocated that ‘Prevention is better than cure’.

Addressing the gathering during an awareness and oath taking programme at Jan Shikshan Sansthan office premises, organised by the JSS Jan Shikshan Sansthan in association with Department Health and Family Welfare,  Dr.Prasad said “Instead of getting infected and struggling to recover in case of any worse situation at ICU, it is better advised to take precautionary measures”.

Dr. Prasad reiterated that “All should follow safety measures like wearing mask, maintaining social distance, wash hands with soap to sanitise themselves frequently. By doing so, people should pay tribute to those Corona Warriors like Doctors, Nurses, Pourakarmikas and also Police who have lost their lives in the line of duty”.

Jayakeerthi, Sub-Inspector, Udayagiri, Mysuru, appreciated JSS Jan Shikshan Sansthan, for its effort to create awareness on Covid-19, mask distribution and food distribution during the lockdown period. 

As many as 35 teaching faculty, students and staff of JSS Jan Shikshan Sansthan underwent Covid test through swab method. All tested negative.

Deputy District Health Education Officer Muneendramma kickstarted preparation for making 1,000 masks. JSS Jan Shikshana Sansthan Director D.M. Shashikala delivered introductory address. Advisor Channabasappa administered the oath.

Corona Warriors — Udayagiri PSI Jayakeerthi, Somanna and Rajendrappa of Health and Family Welfare Department — were felicitated. Programme Assistant Mahadev welcomed.
