Mysore/Mysuru: A rare ‘Natya Margam’ — Dance Expressions (Bharatanatyam) — will be presented by the disciples of Bana Shastri Ramnath, Director, Natyanjali, USA, at Ganabharathi’s Ramagovind Kalavedike on Adichunchungiri Road in Kuvempunagar here on Jan. 7 at 6 pm, under the aegis of Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre (VPAC), Mysuru.
The event will be inaugurated by VidushiDr.TulsiRamachandra accompanied by Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao, Savita Ramesh, Dr.VasundharaDoraswamy and Guru BanaShastriRamnath.
The evening performers are Anupriya Jose, Shruti Subramanian and TapasviniParalkar. They will be accompanied by BanaShastriRamnath on natuvanga, Vidu. P. Rama on vocal, Vid. Janardhan on mridanga and Vid.Jayram on flute. Master of Ceremony will be Dr. S. Bhuvaneshvari. The rare show of overseas dancers is by invitation and free for art-lovers.

Guru BanaShastriRamnath is the Founding-Director of Natyanjali, Austin-San Antonio, USA. She was trained in Bharatanatyam by established Gurus Chandrashekhar, Shantha, Dhananjayan, AdayarLaxaman and Kala Nidhi Narayanan. She has performed all over India and overseas.
Anupriya Jose started learning dance at the age of 5 under the guidance of BanaShastriRamnath. She had her Arangetram in 2017. Since then she is giving programme continuously.
Shruti Subramanian is also learning Bharatanatyam right from tender age of 6 and presented her Arangetram in 2019. She is a Software Engineer and a promising young performer.
Tapasvini Paralkar is also learning Bharatanatyam from Guru Bana Shastri Ramnath. She has participated in dance productions and State-wide competitions in USA. She did her Arangetram in 2016.
