Talk on “Environmental Degradation and Climate Change”

St.Joseph’s College for Women, Sathagalli, had organised a guest lecture on the topic “Environmental Degradation and Climate Change” at the College premises recently.

Dr. R. Lathamani, Asst. Professor, Department of Environmental Studies, JSS College for Women, who gave a lecture on the topic projected videos regarding depletion of environment and also focused on marine pollution, where coral reefs were changing their colour due to discharge of effluents into the ocean.

Focussing on climate change like ozone depletion, acid rain and global warming, the speaker also dwelt on major green house gases that are released into the environment and are responsible for climatic change.  The talk was followed by an interaction. Hina Kousar welcomed. Seema Banu proposed a vote of thanks.
