Madikeri: “The requisition for granting taluk status to Ponnampet and Kushalnagar has come recently which will be examined,” said Chief Minister Siddharamaiah.
He was addressing the Congress Government’s ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ at Crystal Court Hall in Madikeri this morning.
Referring to BJP National President Amit Shah’s recent visit to Bengaluru, Siddharamaiah said that it was just to interact with BJP leaders and affirmed that it would have no effect on Congress. He expressed confidence that his party would emerge victorious in the forthcoming Assembly polls. He ruled out alliance with any party either before or after polls.
Earlier to the event when reporters referred the news item in papers that Congress was keen to take M.C. Nanaiah to their fold, the CM remained silent but mentioned that he would meet Nanaiah in Madikeri.
The CM was received by DC Sreevidya and SP P. Rajendraprasad at the helipad.
