Mysore/Mysuru: Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi will deliver the 12th Golden Jubilee Endowment Lecture in the Series organised by JSS Mahavidyapeetha at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium in JSS Hospital premises here on Feb. 4 at 11 am. He will speak on the topic ‘G20 Leadership: Opportunities to India’. Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.
Profile: R.N. Ravi was born in Patna, Bihar and completed his Master’s in Physics in 1974.
After a brief stint in journalism, he joined Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in 1976.
During his tenure in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Ravi led several anti-corruption crusades against organised criminal gangs, including mining mafias. Ravi was in 2014 appointed the Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee.
He was appointed Deputy National Security Advisor of India on Oct. 5, 2018. He also served as the interlocutor for the talks between NSCN-IM and the Government of India, from 2014 to 2021. Ravi, who served as the Governor of Nagaland and Meghalaya, is currently serving as the 15th Governor of Tamil Nadu.
