Tanveer Sait lays foundation stone for Muslim Boys and Girls Hostels

Mysuru: Minister Tanveer Sait yesterday laid the foundation stone for the construction of Muslim Boys and Girls Hostels at Muslim Boys Orphanage (Apna Ghar) in city. The hostels are being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4 crore.

The foundation stone laying ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Moulana Salman Ahmed. Mohamed Ariff, an inmate of Muslim Boys Orphanage presented Naath-e-Shariff. Newly-nominated member of Karnataka Urdu Academy S. Moinuddin Pasha welcomed. Abdul Azeez Chand, Secretary, Muslim Girls Orphanage (Phulwari) presented a report on Muslim Boys and Girls Orphanages. Ariff A. Mehkri, Chairman, Mysore District Waqf Advisory Committee proposed a vote of thanks.  

Former Mayor Ayub Khan, N. Anwar Pasha, Secretary, Muslim Boys Orphanage, Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Zaka Ullas Saheb Siddiqui, Moulana Syed Ibrahim, Moulana Hafiz & Qari Fayaz Ahmed, Moulana Abdul Salam Saheb Rizvi, Jameel Ahmed Ashrafi, were on the dais.

Dr. Syed Shakeeb-ur-Rahman, former Principal of SJCE, Dr. Syed Akheel Ahmed, former VC of Yenepoya University, Mangalore, Corporator Suhail Baig and Mohamed Mumtaz Ahmed, Member, Karnataka Wakf Council  were also   present.
