Mysore/Mysuru: Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has said that the State Government has plans to construct 10,000 quarters for Police personnel across the State in a span of five years.
Speaking after inaugurating development projects for Police Department at his home office ‘Krishna’ on Friday, he said: “We are aiming to build Police quarters which would have a minimum of two bedrooms and two toilets of good quality. These quarters would have playground for children with compound wall surrounding each plot,” he said.
“We have kept aside Rs. 2,200 crore for this Police Quarters-2025 project which we are aiming to complete within a span of five years and also for construction of new Police Stations wherever the old buildings are in dilapidated condition. We are committed to improve infrastructure and provide other facilities through Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation,” he added.
