Ganabharathi has organised a two-day Youth Festival Tarunabharathi on Jan.23 and 24 at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar. Four young musicians will be performing on the occasion as follows:
On Jan. 23 between 6 pm and 7.15 pm, Ashwini Kolikkaje will present a vocal recital while Keshavchandra will present a flute recital between 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm. Both of them will be accompanied by Pruthvi on violin, Aravind Malladi on mridanga and Ajay on ghata.
On Jan. 24 from 6 pm to 7.15 pm, Anjana Rao will present a vocal recital and Pustakam Surabhi will sing between 7.15 pm and 8.30 pm. They will be accompanied by Shruti on violin, Nandan on mridanga and Sudheendra Apte on ghata. This programme is organised to mark the Mauni Amavasye and in memory of Sri Kashi Sundaradas.

Ashwini Kolikkaje is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in the College of Fine Arts, Manasagangothri, Mysuru. She began learning music from her father Balakrishna Bhat. Now she is learning under Vidushi Koviladi Kala. She has secured first prize consecutively twice in the State- level competitions organised by Kerala Government. She has also secured first prize both in the Krishnashtami competitions and rendering Veene Seshanna compositions organised by Ganabharathi.
Keshav Chandra is the son and disciple of Vidwan C. A. Sridhar. He started performing from the tender age of fourteen. He has won first prize in many prestigious competitions including the National-level competitions held by the All India Radio.
Pustakam Surabhi is the disciple of both Vidushi M.K. Saraswathi and Vidushi A.S. Padma. At present she is learning under Vidushi Amrita Venkatesh. She is the recipient of many awards and accolades. Anjana Rao started learning under Vidwan H.S. Nagaraj. Then she continued under Vidwan S.R. Maruthi Prasad. At present, she is receiving guidance from Vidushi Dr. T.S. Satyavathi. She is teaching in Shankar Mahadevan’s Academy. She has performed in many prestigious platforms.
