Mysore/Mysuru: National Institute of Engineering (NIE) has organised a three-day annual Techno-Cultural Fest ‘techNIEks 2022’ from June 2 to 4 at its premises on Manandavadi Road in city.
Actor Ajai H. Rao will inaugurate the fest tomorrow (June 2) at 11 am at Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex in the College premises. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Centre Head E.S. Chakravarthy will be the guest of honour. NIE Managing Committee Hon. Secretary S.B. Udayshankar will preside.
The inauguration will be followed by ‘Battle of Bands’ national-level band competition at 12 noon, in which music bands of various genres will take part. Music programme ‘FootLoose’ will be held at 4.30 pm.
‘Kannada Day’ programme will be held on June 3 at 11 am. Kannada Professor and Humorist Prof. M. Krishnegowda, SJCE ECE Professor Dr. Sudarshan Patil Kulkarni, Sanskrit daily ‘Sudharma’ editor and Padma Shri awardee Vidushi K.S. Jayalakshmi Sampath Kumar will participate. There will be a national-level photography competition on the topic ‘Feelings’ which will be followed by cultural programmes and artiste performances from 5.30 pm onwards.
On June 4 at 11 am, there will be Alumni meet and ethnic day. At 5.30 pm, there will be cultural programmes which will be followed by fashion show at 7 pm and artiste performance at 7.45 pm.
