In line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Start Up India, Stand Up India’ initiative, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is a National-level Apex Institute involved in Training and Education of Entrepreneurship, promoted by IDBI Ltd., ICICI Ltd, IFCI Ltd., SBI and Govt. of Gujarat. EDI has planned to conduct a Technology-based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) in Plastic Products.
Plastic has become an integral part of our lives right from when we get up in the morning starting from tooth brush, bucket, etc., till we sleep in the night. These products are highly demand-based products. This is the basis for the potentiality of the market for these products. Another flourishing sector is the recycling of plastic waste. In this regard, EDII has tied up with Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET) for technology demonstration and tech transfer.
The Training will be conducted from Mar. 15 to Apr. 30 at Mysuru. This is a six weeks free training programme with the following inputs:
- Hands-on Technical Training in manufacturing process of plastic products: Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Extrusion Process, Plastic Moulds manufacturing, Testing of materials and Plastic Waste recycling.
- Entrepreneurship inputs about starting an own enterprise: a) Steps in Starting an Enterprise along with statutory requirements, company registration process etc. b) Developing Self as Entrepreneurial c) Methodology of Market Research and Feasibility Study d) Marketing Strategies e) Support from Government Agencies to start own Enterprise f) How to avail Support from Banks g) Costing and Pricing h) Business Planning i) Financial Management j) Small Business Management.
