Mysuru: A ten-day discourse sessions on ‘Prabhulingaleele’ (a compilation of 1,111 Shatpadis’ on Allama Prabhu by Chamarasa), organised by Parampare, Mysuru, was launched by Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji of Jnanayogashrama of Vijayapura at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here this morning.
The discourse by eminent scholars will be held daily at 6.30 pm with scholar Gurulinga Kapase delivering the first discourse tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji opined that listening to the ‘Shatpadis’ with ardent devotion would take the listeners to a different world.
He pointed out that people may flourish through agriculture but the real agriculture is people ‘cultivate’ good habits and behaviour within themselves to be passed on for generations.
He assured that dedicated listening to ‘Prabhulingaleele’ would bring in a little reformation in every individual.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the occasion. Writer Prof. Maleyuru Guruswamy was also present.
On all days, Vachana Gayana will be presented by different artistes from 6 pm to 6.30 pm where uncommon Vachanas will be sung.
