Mysuru lads S.D. Prajwal Dev and Suraj R. Prabodh, representing India in the $25,000 ITF Men’s Tennis Tournament at Kampala, Uganda, on Wednesday won their respective Singles matches and moved into the pre-quarterfinals.
In the first round of Singles event, Prajwal scored a well-earned 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over Diego Fernandez Flores of Chile, while Suraj Prabodh got the better of Russian Sergey Bolotov 7-5, 7-5 to enter pre-quarters.
In the Doubles pre-quarterfinals, William Bushamaka (US) & Mehuli Don Ayanda Sibanda (Zim) got the better of Suraj R. Prabodh and Dipanshu Garg 6-1, 6-3 to enter the last eight stage of the Tourney.
