Teresian College NSS Unit holds legal awareness on iII-effects of drug abuse

Mysore/Mysuru: The NSS Unit of Teresian College, Mysuru, in association with District Legal Services Authority had organised an awareness programme on ill-effects of drug abuse to the students recently.

The chief guest P. Srinivasa, Judge, Mysore Sessions Court (Industrial Tribunal), enlightened the students about the world of judiciary, the opportunities they have, the help they render to those who are financially weak.

He also threw light on the new dimensions of social needs to unquote it with law.

Hemalatha, Advocate, spoke about different social ideas, different kinds of drugs, uses and abuses of them on human mindset and the reasons stated behind it.

Dr. Sr. Juanita, Director, Teresian Institutions, spoke about the need for awareness of the law to overcome social issues. Dr. C. Jeyanthi, Principal, welcomed. R.S. Kavitha, Zoology Department, proposed a vote of thanks. The staff and students (both UG and PG) were present.
