Sir,
The problem of stray dog packs has increased significantly on the main road from Water Tank Circle (Dolphin Bakery) to Surya Bakery in Vijayanagar. They bark and attack passersby, and howl loudly all night, disturbing everyone’s sleep.
In the early mornings, these dogs camp in the middle of empty roads, attacking morning walkers, people walking their pet dogs and two-wheelers, which has become a daily nuisance.
On the other hand, the root cause of this problem is that the staff of a hotel on the main road (opposite Khadim’s showroom) have made it a habit to feed their leftover non-vegetarian food to these dogs, making it extremely difficult to control them.
Taking the recent incident as an example, wherein a 65-year-old man was attacked by a pack of dogs and died on the spot at Kodigehalli, Bengaluru, it would be good if the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) authorities quickly provide a solution to this dog menace.
Otherwise, there is no telling how many more accidents or untoward incidents might occur.
