Mysore: The 16th edition of The Hindu-EDGE Career Counselling-2019, Karnataka, will be held in Mysuru on June 2 (Sunday) at Sahukar Chennaiah Auditorium, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Gokulam 3rd Stage.
The programme — admission to which is free — will be held from 9.30 am and will feature officials from the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) who will make a presentation on the CET counselling and admission procedure for the benefit of students and parents and clarify their doubts. There will also be a presentation on alternative career choices by personnel from CIGMA Bangalore which is a professional group specialising in career guidance and counselling.
The two sessions will be followed by a question and answer session in which resource persons and experts from Engineering and Medical streams will join the officials from the KEA to take questions from students and clarify their doubts on admission to various professional courses besides throwing light on other career options, prospects, scope, eligibility requirements etc and provide a helping hand to the student community who are on the threshold of embarking on higher studies to pursue a career.
All participating students will also get a free copy of a career handbook published by The Hindu-Edge, that has researched articles on courses and emerging trends, etc., which will help students plan their next step.
The programme is open to students who have cleared II PUC/Class 12 and CET; are awaiting NEET results; are studying from Classes 9 to 12; or want to pursue higher studies after Class 12, and parents and guardians of students.
