The United Sports Club to host District-level Kho-Kho Tourney

The United Sports Club, established in the year 1965 at Lakshmipuram, Mysuru, played Kho-Kho until 1985 at the same venue for over three decades. United Sports Club brought laurels to the city, University of Mysore and the State of Karnataka by producing outstanding Kho-Kho players who went on to play for India, State and other Universities too.

To name a few, this was started by Col. K.N. Shama Sunddar, Dr. C. Krishna, retired University Physical Education Director, T.H. Mahadevappa, Sachidananda, H.S. Gurudatt and Hans Vishwanath, to name a few. Hundreds of Kho-Kho players played under the banner of United Sports Club and today they have all got very good opportunities at Government and other agencies.

Now, to revive their Club activities, the United Sports Club will be conducting District-level Inter-High School Boys and Girls Kho-Kho Tournament from July 29 to 31 at Mysore University grounds. A total of 32 teams are participating. First prize winners will get Rs. 25,000, second – Rs. 15,000 and third- Rs. 10,000. [Call Mob: 94485-57004].
