Six two-wheelers lifted at various places recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: Devaraja Police have arrested a two-wheeler lifter who was moving around on a stolen bike in city and have recovered six two-wheelers allegedly stolen by him.
The accused is 35-year-old Anand, a resident of Ichanahalli village in Periyapatna taluk.
On Sept. 3 at about 7 pm, a Hero Splendor bike, parked in front of Cheluvamba Hospital by one Karthik of Hunsur, was reportedly stolen and a complaint was lodged at Devaraja Police Station.
Devaraja Police, who had registered a case, took up the investigation and arrested the accused near Hootagalli Circle while he was moving around on the stolen bike.
During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of stealing two-wheelers at various places and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered four Hero Splendor bikes, one Hero Passion bike and one Honda Activa scooter from him.
Devaraja Inspector Prasanna Kumar, Sub-Inspectors Raju and Leelavathi and staff Somashetty, Veeresh, Pradeep, Venugopal, Chandru and Nandish took part in the nabbing and recovery operation.
