This is how our lifeline looks from up above

Here is a spectacular bird’s eye view of the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam and the famed Brindavan Gardens taken from a helicopter, with its vast expanse of water and greenery. The dam which has been providing water of life to millions of people in Southern Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is at a distance of over 21 kms from Mysuru city and is located in Mandya district. Three rivers, namely Cauvery, Hemavathi and Lakshmanatheertha, converge at this dam. The dam is named after Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV who commissioned its construction and Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the then Dewan of Mysore Kingdom, who was also an engineer, oversaw its design and construction. [Pic. by SOM staff photographer M.N. Lakshminarayana Yadav]
