On Sunday alone, the expo attracted a crowd of around 40,000. All together in the past five days, over a lakh people have visited this exhibition which is a confluence of craft, cuisine and culture.
Mysureans are thronging Hunar Haat venue not only to buy artefacts but also to enjoy delicacies of other States.
Althaf Ali’s stall featuring bamboo craft of Chhattisgarh such as flowerpots, beer mugs, hanging pots, rain sound maker and a miniature waterfall saw more visitors.
The 3D paintings stall, set up by Pradeep Singh Kothari, an artist from Kishanganj in Rajasthan, is also attracting the art connoisseurs. Kothari said that this art was slowly dying due to advent of machine printing. Artists have switched over to other professions as the traditional one was no longer a profitable venture.
