T. Narasipur: The Forest Department personnel, in a swift operation, have arrested three out of five poachers, who had captured wild boars in forest area and have rescued the boars which were being transported by them illegally.
The arrested are 30-year-old Ramesh, 22-year-old Arun Kumar and 29-year-old Shivaraj, all native of Moolekoppal in Mandya.
Acting on a tip off, the Forest Department personnel intercepted a Tata Ace goods vehicle (KA-11 A-4233), in which the boars were being transported illegally on the Kapila River Bridge in the town and arrested the accused besides rescuing the wild boars.
