Three bike-lifters nabbed during routine checking by Traffic Cops

Mysuru: Traffic Police personnel, attached to K.R. Traffic Police, have nabbed three two-wheeler lifters during their regular checking of vehicle documents near Agrahara Circle here on Saturday.

The nabbed bike-lifters have been identified as 22-year-old Asif, 21-year-old Harish and Pradeep. Harish and Pradeep are said to be the residents of Srirangapatna.

The Traffic Police, who were conducting checking of documents at Agrahara Circle, spotted three youths riding different bikes in a rash manner and stopped them. When the Police asked them to produce the vehicle documents, the youths were unable to do so and on further questioning, the youths are said to have told the Cops that they had stolen the bikes from various locations, following which the Police detained them for further questioning. During interrogation, the youths are said to have confessed that they were daily labourers and used to steal two-wheelers parked in parking lots and sell them for lesser price.

The Police, who arrested the three youths, seized the three bikes and produced them before a Court, which remanded them to Judicial custody.
