The Department of Studies in Philosophy, University of Mysore (UoM), Manasagangotri, in association with Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi, has organised a three-day National Seminar on ‘Sri Ramanuja’s Place in Philosophy, Religion and Society’ from Oct.15 at Educational Multi-Media Research Centre (EMMRC) in Manasagangothri here. Professor and retd. Principal of Maharaja’s Sanskrit College, Mysuru Prof. Bhashyam Iyengar will inaugurate the seminar on Oct.15 at 10.30 am. UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will preside. UoM Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa will be the guest of honour. The valedictory will be held on Oct.17 at 4 pm. Swami Nityasthanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Davanagere, will deliver the valedictory address. Professor and HoD (retd.) of Sanskrit, University of Madras, Chennai, Prof. S. Padmanabhan will preside over the valedictory. Chairman of DoS in Philosophy, UoM Dr. S. Venkatesh, Visiting Professor V.N. Sheshagiri Rao and Assistant Professor Dr. M. Daniel will be present.
