Three-day ‘Noopurotsava’ in city from Aug. 4

Mysore/Mysuru: Noopura Kalavidaru Samskrutika Trust and Kannada and Culture Department have jointly organised a three-day ‘Noopurotsava’ dance festival at Rama Govinda Rangamandira at Ganabharathi premises on Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar in city from Aug. 4 to 6.

On Aug. 4, Shikha Madhur of Bengaluru, disciple of Chethana and Hari, will give Kathak performance from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance Director Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen’s disciples will present a Bharatanatyam recital from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

On Aug. 5, Vid. K.R. Vishwadeep, son and disciple of Noopura Kalavidaru Samskrutika Trust Director Natyacharya Guru Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao will present a Bharatanatyam recital from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm while disciples of Vid. Sridhar Jain of ‘Apthamitra’ fame and Founder of Sri Nimishamba School of Dance, Mysuru, will present a ‘Nrutya Vaibhava’ from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

On Aug. 6, valedictory will be held from 6 pm to 6.30 pm.

Later, disciples of Vidu. Mamatha G. Nadiger of Shree Marthanda Nrutya Mattu Sangeeta Kala Samsthe, Ranebennuru will give a Bharatanatyam performance while disciples of Vidu. Jyothi Hegde of Lasyaranjana Nrutya Shale will present           a Bharatanatyam recital from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
