Mysuru: A three-day district-level ‘Wadiyar Cup-2019’ tennis ball cricket tournament organised by Sri Nalwadi Foundation under the aegis of Rotary Mysore Palace Commenced this morning at Maharaja’s College Grounds.
Totally 14 teams are participating in the tournament with the winning team getting Rs. 15,000 followed by Rs. 10,000 for the runner-up and Rs. 5000 for the 3rd place.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath by hitting a ball with the bat. Before that, she offered floral tributes to a portrait of Nalwadi.
Rotary Zone-8 Assistant Governor D.B. Rajashekar Murthy, Secretary Vishwanathaiah, Rotary Mysore Palace President Nandish G. Urs, Secretary Shantakumar Biradar, Karnataka State Ursu Maha Sabha Secretary T.K. Subramanya Raje Urs, Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya and others were present.
