Mysore/Mysuru: The special City Crime Branch (CCB) Police team, formed by the City Police Commissioner to crack house burglary cases have arrested three house burglars on Dec. 9 and 19 and have recovered gold ornaments besides seizing a two-wheeler used for the crime.
During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of house burglaries in Udayagiri Police limits and based on the information provided by the accused, the CCB Police have recovered gold ornaments weighing 304 grams and worth Rs. 15 lakh pertaining to two house burglaries in Udayagiri.
Among the three accused, one of them has 30 warrants issued against him at various Police Stations in city and district, while another has four warrants issued by Mandi Police Station. The third accused has one murder case, two attempt to murder, one house burglary and one extortion case registered against him.
The same Special CCB Police team on Dec. 9 has also arrested an accused with 15 warrants against him and had gone absconding. The accused has been handed over to Jayapura Police Station. DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and CCB ACP C.K. Ashwathnarayan guided CCB Inspector R. Jagadish and staff in the nabbing and recovery operation.
