Mysuru: Two persons were killed on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries at K.R. Hospital, when a bike and a scooter collided head-on near MC Hundi on T. Narasipur Road last night. A pillion rider, who had sustained serious injuries, has been admitted to a private hospital in city.
The deceased are Akhilesh, son of advocate Swamy of Kollegal, Ramu, son of Yellaiah of Tavarekatte at the foot of Chamundi Hill, Mysuru and Suresh (19), son of Ravikumar of Tilak Nagar, Mysuru. The seriously injured is Hemanth of Huginipalya, Kollegal.
Akhilesh, who was riding a Pulsar bike with Suresh riding pillion, was proceeding from T. Narasipur side towards Mysuru when it collided with a Honda Dio scooter on which Ramu and Suresh were proceeding towards T. Narasipur from Mysuru. This resulted in Akhilesh and Suresh being killed on the spot and Ramu, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries later. Hemanth, who too sustained severe injuries, has been admitted to a private hospital in city.
Varuna Police, who have registered a case, shifted the bodies to MMC&RI for post-mortem.
