Mysuru: A city court has sentenced three persons to life imprisonment besides imposing a penalty of Rs. 20,000 on each, for the murder of a home-maker at Muddahalli in Nanjangud taluk in 2016.
Ninganna of Muddahalli, his wife Nagamma and son M.S. Prasad are the ones who were sentenced. They were accused of killing Manjula, wife of one Mahesh of Muddahalli, by setting her afire, after dousing her with kerosene at her house over a trivial issue on Jan.4, 2016.
Nanjangud Rural Police, who had registered a case in this regard, had filed charge-sheet against the three in the court.
City’s Seventh Additional District and Sessions Court Judge C. Chandrasekhar, who heard the case, held the three guilty of charges and sentenced them to life.
