Mysuru: Three women died in three separate incidents in city this morning.
Shyma (45), wife of Purushottam, Proprietor of well-known Ambadi Stores near Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle in Ramakrishnanagar died after collapsing at 7.30 am.
Shyma and her family members returned from Kerala this morning after attending a wedding. Shyma, after alighting form a car, was climbing the steps to the first floor of her house at Ramakrishananagar, when she collapsed reportedly due to a cardiac arrest and died at the spot.
Her body was shifted to MMC&RI for post-mortem, and later handed over to relatives.
Kuvempunagar Police have registered a case in this regard.
Woman succumbs to burns
In another incident, a 44-year-old woman succumbed to burn injuries at JSS Hospital here this morning. Bhanumathi (44), of Hariharapura in K.R. Pet taluk, is the deceased.
Bhanumathi had gone to her elder sister’s house at Kattekyatanahalli also in K.R. Pet taluk last month to prepare food items for ‘pitrupaksha.’
Bhanumathi and her sister J.V. Shashikala were preparing food at the house on Oct.10, when they suffered serious burn injuries in a LPG cylinder blast.
Both of them were rushed to JSS hospital in city where Sashikala breathed her last on Oct.18.
Bhanumathi, who was being treated at the hospital, too succumbed to her burn injuries at 5 am today.
K.R. Pet Rural Police have registered a case in this regard.
In yet another incident, a 40-year-old woman, who had consumed poison, breathed her last at K.R. Hospital in the wee hours of this morning.
Shivamma (40), wife of Kempegowda of Maralur in Nanjangud, was admitted to K.R. Hospital after she had consumed poison at her residence last evening. But she breathed her last in the hospital at about 2.30 am after failing to respond to the treatment.
Nanjangud Rural Police have registered a case in this regard.
