Mysore/Mysuru: In separate incidents, miscreants have made away with gold chains of three women in city and at Suttur.
In the first incident, a 47-year-old woman, who had come to Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill on Jan. 22, has lost her gold chain.
The woman, who lost her gold chain is Bhagyamma, a resident of Hemavathi Layout in K.R. Pet. She, along with others, had hired a KSRTC bus (KA-11-F-0172) and had come to Chamundi Hill to have the darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari.
After having the darshan of the Goddess, Bhagyamma came to the parking lot to board the bus at about 7.15 pm, when she noticed that her 40 grams gold chain has been stolen.
A case has been registered at K.R. Police Station.
In the second case, a miscreant has snatched a part of gold chain from a 67-year-old woman at Gangothri Layout 1st Cross on Jan. 23 evening.
The woman, who lost her gold chain, is M.N. Chandramathi, a resident of Gangothri Layout.
Chandramathi, along with her husband, had gone to a supermarket and after shopping, they were proceeding on the 1st Cross of the locality, when a miscreant, who came from the opposite direction yanked off her gold chain. As the gold chain got tangled to her bag, the miscreant fled with a part of the gold chain weighing about 30 grams, climbed on to a waiting bike at a distance and sped away.
A case has been registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station.
In the third case, a woman, who had come to Suttur Jatra, has lost her gold chain.
The woman, who lost her gold chain, is Vimala, a resident of Badagalapura village in Chamarajanagar taluk. She, along with her husband, had come to see the exhibition organised as part of Suttur Jatra at Suttur on Jan. 22.
As there was a huge rush at about 2 pm at the gate, a miscreant, making use of the situation, stole her 55 grams gold chain.
Biligere Police, who have registered a case following a complaint from Vimala’s husband Rajendra Prasad, are investigating.
