Times Higher Education Impact Rankings- 2024: JSS AHER ranked number one globally for Good Health and Well-Being

Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER) has been ranked world number 1 in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) of United as per Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings – 2024, said JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, here this morning.

Addressing the media persons at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium in JSS Hospital premises, he said that SDG-3 on Good Health and Well-Being focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all and JSS AHER’s achievement was based on Quality Health Education, Translational Research, Tribal Health Outreach programmes and Affordable Health Services extended for needy.

Dr. Betsurmath said “JSS AHER has also received various other accolades under other categories including global rank 12 in SDG- 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), rank 21 in SDG 1 (No Poverty), rank 49 in SDG 15 (Life on Land) and rank 60 in SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation). 

He also said that JSS AHER Chancellor and Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji had extended blessings to all those who are associated for achieving the remarkable achievement.

Speaking on the occasion, JSS Mahavidyapeetha Secretary S.P. Manjunath stated the global achievement was another feather in the cap for JSS AHER as it had been achieving many such milestones since its inception.

About 1,498 universities from 115 countries across the world had participated in the ranking process which included 115 Universities from India and 12 Universities from Karnataka.
