As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with an aim to build a Clean and Open Defecation Free India by October 2, 2019, as a befitting tribute to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Mysuru Zilla Panchayat (ZP) is giving one more opportunity to rural populace to build toilets. Those eligible beneficiaries who have not applied during 2012 baseline survey can contact their respective Gram Panchayat (GP) and apply before Sept.9, according to ZP CEO K. Jyothi. All eligible beneficiaries enrolled as toilet-less households during the 2012 baseline survey now have their own toilet built by the Administration. Now efforts are going on to build toilets in those households who are missed out from 2012 baseline survey.
