T. Narasipur: With the Assembly polls just a couple of months away, BJP Organisational Secretary B.L. Santosh called upon party workers to sensitise the voters on programmes of the BJP Governments at the State and the Centre.
He was speaking after launching ‘Vijaya Sankalpa’ Abhiyana (campaign) of the party at Nagarle village coming under Varuna Assembly segment on Sunday.
Pointing out that it is the BJP Government which hiked reservation for SC/ST communities and introduced many other welfare schemes, Santosh said that the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Yojana is a unique programme aimed at farmer welfare, which should be reached out to the farming community in full-scale.
Questioning what were the contributions of elected representatives of Varuna Assembly segment in the past, he asserted that it is the BJP Government which is working for the welfare of all sections and strata of the society.
Making an indirect reference to Siddharamaiah, who had represented the Constituency and went on to become the Chief Minister, the BJP leader alleged that the Opposition Leader was wasting time without doing much for the Constituency, which is currently represented by his son Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister B.C. Nagesh said that party workers must reach out to the voters by explaining the achievements of the Government.
Stressing on the need for taking out a door-to door campaign in all villages and towns, he emphasised on the need for further organising the party at grassroot-level as part of Vijaya Sankalpa campaign.
KSTDC Chairman Ka.Pu. Siddalingaswamy, District BJP President Mangala Somashekar, party leaders Kalmalli Vijaykumar, C.M. Mahadevaiah, Krishnamurthy, Ka.Pu. Siddaveerappa, Chinnamballi Manju and others were present.
