Trader accused of cheating e-commerce firm of Rs. 15.57 lakh

Mysore/Mysuru: Nazarbad Police, following a complaint from the Manager of e-commerce company Flipkart, have registered a case against a trader for allegedly cheating the e-commerce company of Rs. 15.57 lakh.

The accused is Mahadevaswamy, in-charge of Prakruthi Stores on Papanna Street in Nazarbad. He is accused of failing to deposit money after selling the products from Flipkart and has also shut the shop.

Details: Flipkart has a branch at Kuvempunagar in city which distributes products to its five sub branches across the city to deliver the same to the customers and collect money from them.

Those in-charge of the sub branches, used to deliver the products to customers, collect money from them and deposit the cash to the Flipkart Bank account.

Mahadevaswamy, had made an agreement with Flipkart and used to receive the products. But after delivering the products and collecting money, he has failed to deposit the money collected from customers between May 1 and July 31, amounting to Rs. 15,57,975 to the Bank account of Flipkart, according to Flipkart Manager P. Manager, who has lodged a Police complaint against Mahadevaswamy. Based on the complaint Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case.
