Traditional Wrestling Competition: Pahilwan Somdev wins silver mace

Pahilwan Somadev Rohtak of Haryana won the traditional wrestling competition organised by Late Pahilwan Basavaiah Wrestling Committee at BGS sports grouns in K.G. Koppal yesterday. The competition was organised as a part of Goddess Chamundeshwari Festival.

Somdev defeated Pahilwan Yudhistir of Punjab and won the silver mace. Kollapur’s Pahilwan Santosh Dharod won his bout against Pahilwan Digvijay Singh.

MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar, Mayor M.J. Ravikumar, Former Mayor R. Lingappa, former MUDA Chairman L. Nagendra, former Minister S.A. Ramdas, former V-C Prof. K.S. Rangappa, JD(S) City President Harish Gowda and others were present.  A total of 35 pair wrestlers took part in the wrestling competition.
