The traffic in Mysuru is going from bad to worse. The one-way streets like Kalidasa Road, Devaraj Urs Road etc., are full of two-wheelers, autos and cars coming in the wrong direction.
People have not spared even the Ring Road where the wrong direction traffic is rampant.
To make things even worse, we have lots of stray cattle roaming on the busy roads which is a major hazard since it becomes very difficult to spot the dark coloured cows in the night.
I would like to mention here that wearing helmets and fastening seat belts have gone to dogs. We also regularly come across 3-4 people riding on two-wheelers.
It’s high time that the Traffic Police start looking into the above offenders as their job seems to have boiled down to checking drink and drive offenders only.
We have such a beautiful city with wide roads, less traffic etc. Let us not make a mess of it.
