Mandya: Train services on Mysuru-Bengaluru route was disrupted for more than an hour yesterday as an overhead electric cable snapped and fell on the railway track on Maddur-Channapatna section. The cable is said to have snapped due to strong winds and rains. Due to the snapping of the power cable, trains running between Bengaluru and Mysuru last evening halted at different Stations on the route.
The Chamundi Express reached Mysuru an hour late last night, causing a lot of inconvenience to passengers.
Several other trains running to and from Mysuru too were delayed, it is learnt.
