Mysuru:Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) along with the Department of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Government of Karnataka, Mysuru Division, has organised the 55th one-day training programme on first-aid for industrial workers and supervisors on Nov. 16 (Thursday) from 9 am to 5.30 pm at Hotel Shree Guru Residency on JLB Road Cross here.
The need for first-aid is greater than ever, because of the increased use of machines and electric appliances in every day work at home, workplace etc. Thus there is an ever-growing demand for first-aid training.
As per the statutory compliance, in every industry a certain number of employees should be trained in first-aid, and they should know the important procedure for treating the casualty. Moreover they should know the procedure of calling the Ambulance, shifting the injured to the Hospital for further treatment.
H. Suresh, Assistant Director of Factories, Industrial Safety and Health, Mysuru Division, will inaugurate the programme.
The faculty for this programme is an experienced Doctor from St.John’s Ambulance Association. The programme will be presented through lectures, discussions, interactions and demonstrations.
