Mysore/Mysuru: A one-day awareness workshop on Demand Side Management (DSM) Action Plan was conducted by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) in association with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Energy Efficiency Service Limited, Government of India recently for Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) Officials/Engineers in Mysuru.

L. Lokesh, General Manager -Tech, CESC, inaugurated the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, the peak demand can be reduced by implementing energy conservation, energy efficiency and demand side management measures.
These measures have a significant potential and are crucial to India’s goal to provide people with 24×7 reliable, affordable, secure and sustainable access to energy.
DSM aims to improve the power consuming efficiency of consumers and change their power consuming modes to reduce power consumption and power demand
Following the inauguration, a technical session was conducted by Nithin Bhatt, National Coordinator, SDA and Channel Partner Programme, Nandkishore Jha, Associate Manager (Technical), Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL) New Delhi and K.N. Mathew, State Head (Karnataka), EESL.
Narahari, DGM, KREDL summarised the presentation given by various speakers and proposed a vote of thanks.
More than 50 Engineers from CESC-Mysuru participated in the workshop.
